Baltic Aviation Academy launches an aviation seminar cycle

Baltic Aviation Academy is starting an aviation seminar cycle for novice pilots. The main objective of the cycle entitled ‘Pilot Talks’, comprised of lectures and practical assignments, is to provide young pilots with the knowledge on how to find a job in commercial airlines. The seminars are planned to be held from May to December in the following locations: Warsaw (Poland), Madrid (Spain), Lisbon (Portugal), Milan (Italy), Moscow (Russia), Vilnius (Lithuania) and Stockholm (Sweden).

The main topics in Ab Initio seminar sessions: requirements for those wishing to become pilots in airlines, pilot evaluation models, selecting the right programs, relevant advice and unwritten rules. The main topics of the Baltic Aviation Academy – organized training sessions for advanced pilots (TRTO): how to choose the right type of aircraft; how to pick the best aviation training centre; how to organize a job interview with airlines and to prepare oneself for it.

‘After reading several aviation forums, such as pprune.org, it seems that finding a job for a novice pilot in the Europe-based airlines is practically impossible. As the competition among such pilots is fierce, during the seminars we will discuss job opportunities in Asia, preparation for a job interview and the ways to know whether one is suitable to be a pilot in general. We are hoping that the lecturers and seminar cycle designed together with the BAA specialists will enable those who are truly worth it to finally find themselves sitting in the desired pilot chair. For this reason we also try to involve our partners and corporate clients to actively participate in the seminar cycle,’ commented Ausra Garuckaite, the Self-sponsored Pilots Account Manager.

The first seminar is planned to take place on the 9th of May in Warsaw, Poland. All of those planning to attend it are kindly invited to register via www.bit.ly/pilot-talks-warsaw, stating the program (Ab Initio or advanced TRTO) they are wishing to participate in. All the seminars’ material and video footage will be placed on the Baltic Aviation Academy website at www.balticaa.com.

Baltic Aviation Academy pays the utmost attention to the suitability and aptitude of aviation personnel as well as aviation safety issues. During the World Aviation Training Conference (WATS 2011) the BAA team introduced its unique pilot screening process entitled ‘General Human Recourse Principals in Aviation Business: Commercial Pilot Student Candidate Assessment’. The Academy is constantly doing internal research and aims at adapting training courses for distinct geographical regions. Not a long time ago the company launched special internet based seminars – webinars - for pilots’ beginners.
