Mecaer Aviation Group (MAG) unveils its AW169 VIP Helicopter Interior
Dallas, TX - February 2012. Mecaer Aviation Group (MAG), the Italian aircraft interior specialist, is bringing a full-scale mock-up of its new VIP interior for the AgustaWestland AW169 helicopter to this year’s HAI Annual Meeting and Convention in Dallas. The VIP interior, which is the creation of the MAG Design Studio, was unveiled today at MAG’s booth # 5924. This new interior was developed with the vision of maximizing passenger comfort, reducing noise levels in all flight conditions and providing a state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment system (IFE).
The 6-passenger cabin configuration on display can be quickly re-configured into a 7-passenger version, among a variety of different cabin layouts available to meet customer requirements. Comfort and ergonomics, careful study and positioning of lighting, quality details and superior materials are the leading design features.
The AW169 can also be equipped with the SILENS System, MAG’s proprietary passive lightweight cabin noise and vibration reduction system. The SILENS system is currently certified on the AgustaWestland AW139 helicopter.
The IFEEL, an IFE multi-function system developed by MAG, offers users a fully customized cabin management and entertainment system that incorporates advanced technologies and interfaces with the latest consumer electronic devices. Passenger comfort and in-flight experience are greatly enhanced. The AW169VIP Interior will be certified by 2014.
