Innotech Aviation’s Montreal Service Center a “Top-Choice” for Bombardier Global 8C/4C Major Inspections; Refurbs
Innotech delivers 10-year inspections in industry-leading 56 days . Tony Rawlinson, Innotech director of sales and marketing said, “There are over 400 aircraft in Bombardier’s Global family in service worldwide. With the first Global Express customer delivery made in 1999, many of the ultra long-range aircraft are due for “8C/10-year” major inspection and are now being booked into our facility almost a year in advance.” The soon-to-be-expanded 180,0000 sq. ft. operation in Montreal is a Bombardier Authorized Service Facility, with one of the most modern and complete ranges of specialized tooling, certified spares, processes, mechanical and avionics support in the industry. Rawlinson added, “Innotech’s Montreal service center is a top-choice for Global owners; we offer a complete range of services and make full use of the competitive advantages of our location. In fact, our average downtime for a Global 10-year inspection is an industry-leading 56 days”. The service center is located in Montreal’s unique “aerospace cluster”; it is only a short distance from Bombardier’s own manufacturing plant, a FlightSafety and CAE training center, a Rolls-Royce engine maintenance and overhaul center, and Messier Dowty, which makes the landing gear assemblies for the Global family of aircraft. This proximity to a concentration of suppliers allows Innotech to deliver faster service than any competitor. Further, Innotech’s state-of-the art 41,000 square-foot paint preparation and application facility in Dorval is one of the most modern and technologically advanced hangars in North America and offers high quality and custom paint applications for both in-service and new-completion aircraft. It has been running at full capacity since it opened in 2008. Environmentally friendly, with state-of-the-art filters and an independent waste water cleaning system, the facility also features variable speed flow, eliminating the need to pressurize the paint bay, and with the capability to apply paint electro-statically. The paint bay is uniquely designed to ventilate and spray with a nose to tail cross-draft. These features provide a cleaner application, better adhesion and substantially less paint waste than conventional spray methods. Innotech also offers Global Express owners installation of the EASA- and FAA-approved cabin air-quality (I-CAIR™) system, derived from patented “cold plasma ionic interaction” technology. The system greatly increases cabin atmosphere purity; its effectiveness evident in the substantial reduction of cabin ozone levels, which are elevated at high altitudes. Another Innotech-exclusive product is the I-Ku™ airborne high-speed Internet system. The EASA- and FAA- approved I-Ku system incorporates the ViaSat VMT-1500 airborne high-speed Internet terminal which delivers data and voice connections using the worldwide coverage of ViaSat Yonder® service for the highest speeds available in the industry.
