Bombardier Launches Price-Matching Parts Offer for its Business Aircraft Customers
Bombardier today announced the launch of a price-matching promotion on both rotable and consumable parts for Learjet, Challenger and Global business aircraft. The promotion is the latest step in a series of recent strategic pricing and service initiatives designed to offer customers more competitive parts pricing and position Bombardier as the number one choice for aftermarket parts support.
For a 30-day period beginning on April 12, Bombardier will match any documented competitor price on rotable or consumable components that are in stock and currently listed in its price catalog. With limited exceptions, virtually all components are eligible for the promotion*. To take advantage of the promotion, customers simply need to contact a parts Customer Service Representative (CSR) and provide the documented competitor price for the comparable part they wish to purchase.
“For the past year, we have been successful in negotiating lower prices with our suppliers and achieving better economies of scale so that customers can purchase high-demand parts from Bombardier at prices that are in line with the current market dynamics and offerings,” said Diane de Souza, Vice President, Parts Logistics, Bombardier Customer Services. “These pricing reductions, coupled with our value-added services, such as our round-the-clock parts support and unique PartsExpress service, will help position Bombardier as the supplier of choice for components and related services.”
To date, Bombardier has implemented price reductions on a total of 13,000 consumable parts in its pricing catalog. Bombardier’s Pricing and Cost Control Management team is currently working on the next series of price adjustments, which will be implemented in phases starting with the catalog revision cycle in January 2012.
Bombardier also recently announced a series of bold steps that are setting a new industry standard for parts support excellence, with a significant investment in parts, specifically to improve availability throughout the Parts Logistics network. Additionally, Bombardier announced an industry-leading parts satisfaction guarantee; more stringent criteria to reduce the incidence of No Fault Found (NFF) parts; an extension of its PartsExpress service to the Middle East; and the opening of a new regional support office (RSO) and parts depot in Hong Kong.
Bombardier's Parts Logistics operation is part of the Bombardier Customer Services organization, offering a complete spectrum of comprehensive component support and services for Bombardier business and commercial aircraft owners and operators. Bombardier's parts operations are centralized at two super warehouses located in Chicago and Frankfurt, along with seven regional parts depots located in Dubai, Hong Kong, São Paulo, Singapore, Sydney, Beijing and Narita.
