A great ceremony at EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING facility in Cairo was held to celebrate the delivery of Alitalia’s B777-200 aircraft that was maintained at EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Ahmed Shafik, Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation, Eng.Hussein Massoud, CEO & Chairman of EGYPTAIR Holding, Eng. Abdel Aziz Fadel, Chairman & CEO of EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING, Mr. Giancarlo Schisano, Executive VP and COO of Alitalia and Mr. Giorgio Piatra, VP Fleet Maintenance.
EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING signed a maintenance service agreement for providing C-Check to ALITALIA B777-200ER aircraft. The maintenance work is carried out at EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING facilities in Cairo, Egypt. The first B777-200ER equipped with GE 90-94 was released on January 20th 2011. According to the contract signed for Landing Gears, the first overhauled A320 Landing Gear shipset provided by ALITALIA has been delivered to Egyptair on last November 2010. The first of four unserviceable landing gear shipset removed from Egyptair aircraft is currently under overhaul in ALITALIA Fleet Maintenance facilities in Rome. Another contract was signed between EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING and Alitalia, whereby EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING will start maintaining Alitalia’s A330-200 aircraft.
