Embraer delivers the first Phenom 100 executive jet to India

Mumbai-based Invision Air receives the entry level jet

São José dos Campos, November 18, 2010 – Embraer delivered the first Phenom 100 entry level jet to India’s Invision Air Services Pvt. Ltd., a Mumbai-based on-demand air charter company. The aircraft is the first of 18 Phenom 100s that Invision Air ordered three years ago, along with two Embraer Phenom 300 jets.

In support of Embraer’s Phenom jets going into service in India, Mumbai-based Indamer & Co. – Embraer’s Authorized Service Center (ASC) in the country – provides maintenance, repair and overhaul services for these aircraft, as well as for the Legacy 600. Internationally, Embraer maintains a network of over 40 ASCs, which is complemented by a 24-hour Customer Contact Center at the Company’s headquarters in São José dos Campos, Brazil, to provide assistance to Embraer’s Executive Jets customers anywhere in the world, at anytime of the day.

This year, Embraer also established a full inventory of spare parts for its executive jets at its Regional Distribution Center in Singapore, for greater proximity to customers in Asia Pacific, and for offering them quicker turnaround times for replacement parts. At the same time, investments have also been made to effectively equip the ASC in the region with a relevant parts inventory.

About Invision Air Services Pvt. Ltd.
Invision Air is a general aviation company offering a branded business jet charter operation in India. Established in 2008, it was founded by Mr. Vinit Phatak and Mr. Jayant Nadkarni. The company will be launching various member programs in early December 2010, which include Jet Cards (in 25-hour, 50-hour, and 100-hour duration packages), Owner Programs for those who wish to purchase their own jets, and on-demand charter services. More information will be available at www.InvisionAir.co.in.

The company is part of the Invision business group, which is primarily active in the telecommunications and marine and aviation safety industries. The Invision Group was founded by Mr. Vinit Phatak in the early 1990s, and began its activities in the wireless telecom industry as a modest sales and distribution company that sold antennas, cables and accessories in the Indian region. As this business successfully achieved an 80% market share in India for base station antennas, 51% of its equity was taken over by the world’s largest and oldest antenna manufacturing company, Kathrein Werke KG, from Germany. Currently, the joint venture company, Kathrein India Pvt. Ltd., oversees the sales and distribution of Kathrein products through the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and has a manufacturing facility just outside of Mumbai.

In 2002, Invision diversified into the marine and aviation safety industry, with the acquisition of a 30-year-old niche manufacturer, Meridian Inflatables Pvt. Ltd. In 2011, Invision plans to launch Invision Green, a movement aimed at offsetting carbon emissions and consolidating the biodiversity and natural ecosystems of the Indian subcontinent.
