Embraer confirms two Embraer 190 options for BA CityFlyer
British Airways subsidiary increases its E-Jets firm orders to 13 aircraft
São José dos Campos, October 19, 2010 – Embraer and British Airways have signed a contract for another two EMBRAER 190 jets. The aircraft will be operated by BA CityFlyer (BACF), British Airways’ wholly owned regional subsidiary, on routes from London City Airport (LCY). Following deliveries planned for the first semester of 2011, BA CityFlyer will then operate a total of 13 E-Jets, comprised of six EMBRAER 170s and seven EMBRAER 190s.

The two additional aircraft will enable British Airways to expand its route network from LCY, such as new service to the stringent Stockholm-Arlanda Airport (ARN), in Sweden. BA CityFlyer’s EMBRAER 190 jets will be configured with 98 seats.
