Embraer delivers Lineage 1000 jet to Al Habtoor Group
The aircraft is already being operated by Royal Jet, based in Abu Dhabi
São José dos Campos, September 17, 2010 – Embraer delivered a Lineage 1000 executive jet, earlier this month, to the Al Habtoor Group (www.habtoor.com), from Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The aircraft is managed and operated by Royal Jet (www.royaljetgroup.com), based in Abu Dhabi, also from the UAE. The deal was originally announced in July 2008.
“We are honored by the confidence that the Al Habtoor Group has placed in our ultra-large jet,” said Luís Carlos Affonso, Embraer Executive Vice President, Executive Jets. “With its unique features, spacious interior, and luxurious cabin, the modern Lineage 1000 has seen growing acceptance in the executive aviation market, particularly in the Middle East region.”
The Lineage 1000 is Embraer’s biggest and most exclusive executive jet, comfortably carrying up to 19 passengers in five distinct privacy zones. The innovative cabin interior was designed in partnership with Priestmangoode, from the U.K., and uses best-in-class finishing materials.
“This is a very exciting time for the Al Habtoor Group, and we are eager to fly with this wonderful aircraft,” said Mr. Maan Halabi, Executive Director of the Al Habtoor Group.
“We chose the Lineage 1000 because it delivers new standards of comfort and excellence in an unparalleled cabin.”
The Al Habtoor Group aircraft is configured with a bedroom having a queen-size bed and a stand-up shower, three lavatories, conference tables, 23-inch LCD monitors, and a refrigerator and chiller, among other amenities.
An ample aft baggage compartment is pressurized and conveniently accessible during flight.
Pilots benefit from an electronic fly-bywire flight control system and Honeywell’s Primus EpicTM avionics, complemented by an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) and other cuttingedge technologies, resulting in a lower workload and increased safety.
“As the leading luxury executive flight services provider in the Middle East, Royal Jet now has an opportunity to bring to its customer the best combination of range and comfort offered by the Lineage 1000,” said Shane O’Hare, President and CEO of Royal Jet. “By bringing together two of the most established UAE companies – the Al Habtoor Group and Royal Jet – we are able to provide our guests with a new dimension in luxury. The introduction of this aircraft to Royal Jet’s fleet enables us to offer a full range of aircraft capacity and prices.”
“We are delighted by this exclusive agreement with the Al Habtoor Group to manage their Lineage 1000. This is a great honor for Royal Jet,” said Mr. Nizar Jazzar, Royal Jet’s Vice President, Aircraft Project Engineering & Business Development. “A highly-experienced crew is now operating the Lineage 1000, and the aircraft is based in Abu Dhabi, in our award winning FBO in the VIP terminal at the international airport. We will also be managing the ongoing maintenance of our latest fleet addition.”
The ultra-large jet is maintained and operated by Royal Jet, chosen as the leading private jet charter company in the Middle East, since 2008, by the World Travel Awards (WTA). The company manages a fleet of ten business jets, and will offer the Lineage 1000 to its exclusive global VIP customers. The range of 4,400 nautical miles (8,149 km) with eight passengers, or 4,500 nautical miles (8,334 km) with four passengers, both with NBAA IFR fuel reserves, allows the jet to fly nonstop from Dubai to London (U.K.), Johannesburg (South Africa), Tokyo (Japan), or Jakarta (Indonesia).
