ASA Extends Engineering And Scientific Services Contract
CLEVELAND -- NASA's Glenn Research Center in Cleveland has awarded a
one-year contract option to ASRC Aerospace Corporation of Greenbelt,
Md., for engineering and scientific services. The option has a value
that will not exceed $50 million.
The contract covers engineering and scientific support services to
Glenn's Lewis Field and Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio. ASRC
will provide on-site support services for technical, engineering and
scientific tasks in the areas of aeronautics, microgravity science, space exploration,
space power and propulsion, and related science and technology activities.
The modification increases the total value of the contract to $260
million. The extension begins Sept. 1, 2010, and ends Aug. 31, 2011.
It is the last of three one-year options provided for in the original
contract awarded in August 2006.
