State-controlled airline Yemenia said Tuesday it might reconsider an initial deal with Airbus to buy 10 aircraft after the manufacturer failed to show the carrier "moral and media support" after a crash last week.
"If we do not receive support from the manufacturer, we might reconsider an MoU signed earlier to buy 10 A350 aircraft," Abdul-Khaliq al-Qadi said.
Asked about what kind of support he expected, Qadi said: "Moral and media support after the accident."
A Yemenia Airbus A310-300 crashed off the Comoros last week with 153 people on board. Only one passenger survived.
