Koc Holding is preparing to put into service a Dassault Falcon Jet 2000LX, which made history when the French planemaker officially delivered it to its new owner - the 2,000th handover since Falcon deliveries began in 1965. The delivery occurred at Dassault's Bordeaux-Merignac facility on Friday.
Certified less than 90 days ago, the 2000LX is the newest member of the Falcon fleet, which has now logged more than 14 million flight hours in 17 different versions delivered in 67 countries.
Based in Istanbul, Koc, a conglomerate with automotive, energy, consumer durables and finance arms, is Turkey's largest company and a leader in both domestic and international markets; Fortune magazine recently ranked it 172 among global companies, ahead of PepsiCo, Kraft Foods and Lockheed Martin. The company is among the top 50 companies in Europe.
Koc Holding also owns another Falcon 2000 and holds an order for a Falcon 900LX to be delivered at the end of 2011.
