(CNN) — Airbus, which made the plane that crashed this week in the Atlantic Ocean, told CNN on Friday that it sent a Telex to operators of A330-200 jets, reminding them of certain operating procedures.

Automatic message transmissions from the aircraft in its final moments show there was an “indicated inconsistency in measured air speeds,” Airbus said. That means the computer systems provided different information about the jet’s speed. The company did not elaborate.

Airbus said the Telex, sent Thursday night, was recommended by the French investigating agency, which plans to hold a news conference Saturday morning.

On its Web site, Airbus says the plane was delivered to Air France in April 2005. It had accumulated about 18,800 flight hours in about 2,500 flights.
