Boeing has lost another 25 orders for the 787 from an unidentified customer, pushing its cancellation rate to 57 for the year and 58 overall, or 6% of its total.
A Boeing official said the company reached agreement with the customer on April 30 to cancel its entire order for 25 aircraft.
The Boeing order Web site shows only three customers with exactly 25 orders - Air Berlin, Continental and China Eastern. Officials at Air Berlin and Continental say their orders stand. China Eastern could not be reached for comment. But China Eastern has not cancelled its order for GEnx-1B engines for the 787.
Meanwhile, Boeing has received an order for five 777-300ERs from Turkish Airlines, which already operates three of the type on leases. It is Turkish's first direct order of the big twin-aisle jet, which it is now flying with 312 seats.
However, Boeing also reports a cancellation of one 777 order from an unidentified customer.
Additionally, Boeing has added 13 737 orders from an unidentified customer or customers, as of May 5.
The week's activities leave Boeing with a negative one aircraft order for the year - 58 gross orders and 59 cancellations. Boeing's black column for positive orders includes 41 for the 737 and eight for the 777.
