Finnair Technical Services, KLM in New MRO Pact

Finnair Technical Services and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines inked a new contract for Boeing MD-11 aircraft maintenance to be carried out this year. It covers eight C check inspections for the KLM aircraft at Finnair Technical Services at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, plus two options for 2010, according to a Finnair Technical Services representative who called the deal a continuation of an existing partnership with KLM.

Cooperation between the two companies began in 2006. Last year, they amended the initial contract with reciprocal work agreements under which Finnair Technical Service committed to buying technical services from Air France-KLM.
