Enerjet Picks Boeing-KLM Component Program

By Elyse Moody

Canadian charter airline Enerjet's Boeing 737-700NG aircraft now will receive component support via a five-year, exclusive contract with AFI-KLM E&M. The agreement adds Enerjet, which until last October operated as NewAir and Tours, to the list of carriers under the Boeing and KLM E&M Next Generation 737 Component Services Program, established in April 2005.

Under the 737NG CSP, Boeing and KLM E&M jointly manage a spares distribution center located in Amsterdam. From there, they guarantee shipment to operators within 24 hours of request. A pool of around 200 other 737NG aircraft, operated by airlines including TAAG Angola Airlines, Canada's Sunwing Airlines, and Caribbean Airlines, receive support under the 737NG CSP.

Enerjet also will receive support for on-site inventory in Calgary, Alberta, an AFI-KLM E&M representative confirmed. AFI KLM E&M estimates the arrangement will save Enerjet up to 30% on component repair and inventory costs.
