Asur Traffic Drops 8.7 Percent In March

Mexican airport operator Asur said on Monday its passenger traffic dropped 8.7 percent in March compared with the same period of last year.

Asur's results were, in part, hurt by a calendar effect: Easter Week, when many Mexicans take family breaks, fell in March last year, compared with 2009, when it takes place this week.

Asur operates nine airports across Mexico, including those in the popular Caribbean resorts of Cancun and Cozumel.
