Sepla Says Iberia Agreement Broken

Spanish pilots union Sepla said on Monday that talks over a preliminary collective agreement with Iberia has been broken.

"The pre-agreement has been broken and no new meeting is foreseen," a Sepla spokesman said.

Iberia and the pilots reached a pre-agreement in January, but the final accord was still pending.

The airline had revisited various points on which an agreement had already been reached, including salary rises and early retirements, he said.

The union will inform the pilots of the new situation on Thursday and will await further instructions, the spokesman said.
