Cessna models win international approvals
Cessna has clinched international certifications for various Citation models, paving the way for the airframer to expand its share of the international business jet market and boost its orderbook. The Citation Mustang very light jet gained Chinese validation, the superlight XLS+ received full European Aviation Safety Agency type certification, while the midsize, high-speed Citation X and midsize Sovereign have been given Nigerian and Russian approval, respectively. No details have been released about near-term deliveries to these countries. Cessna says it has delivered more than 5,700 Citations to date, "making it the largest fleet of business jets in the world".
