Thailand buys third ERJ-135

By Kate Sarsfield

Embraer has clinched a contract from the government of Thailand for a third ERJ-135.

The regional jet will be used by the Royal Thai army for VIP transport and medical evacuation missions following delivery later this year.

Thailand is the first military operator in South-East Asia to use the ERJ-135 for transporting officials and for medevac missions.

The Thai army and navy already operate one ERJ -135 each, from Bangkok and the U-Tapao air base.
